** Boys Baseball Travel Tryouts** - STARTING Wed, 7/25
It’s that time of year again and tryout dates have been set for Boys looking to participate in the 2019 BYS Travel Baseball program.
The BYS Boys Travel program is a year-round travel program consisting of 6 age groups: U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U14.
The BYS travel program is a competitive league that travels around the local community (within an hour or so) to compete against the best players in each local community. Depending on the team and the coach, some teams may also enter into local tournaments so that the boys can experience the excitement of the tournament atmosphere in addition to the competitiveness of their regular season. Each team will play somewhere between 20 and 50 games depending on the division they are in, experience level they are at and number of tournaments that they are entered into.
Tryout dates are as follows:
Wed, July 25th – 7:00pm to 8:30pm - Lower Neura
Sat July 28th - 9:00am to 11:00am - Lower Neura
Wed, August 1st – 7:00pm to 8:30pm – Lower Neura
Wed, July 25th - 6:00pm to 7:30pm - Boston Knoll
Sat July 28th - 11:00am to 1:00pm - Boston Knoll
Wed, August 1st - 6:00pm to 7:30pm - Boston Knoll
Sat August 4th - 11:00am to 1:00pm - Boston Knoll
Wed, July 25th - 7:30pm to 9:00pm - Boston Knoll
Sat July 28th - 9:00am to 11:00am – Boston Knoll
Sun July 29th – ONLY 13u - 9:00am to 11:00am – Boston Knoll
Wed, August 1st - 7:30pm to 9:00pm – Boston Knoll
Sat August 4th - 9:00am to 11:00am - Boston Knoll
** A few things to note about the tryouts **
- Registration will be 1/2 hour prior to the tryout time so please come early and register
- You will be asked to fill out a registration form and a liability waiver prior to the tryout
- There will be a parent meeting prior to each tryout to go over what the travel program is and what will be required from each player throughout the year
- The goal is have teams selected by August 30th, 2018
- All players, even ones that played on a team this year, are required to tryout
Not all players will make a team. We will do our best to place players on teams of equivalent talent levels but the BYS Travel program has grown tremendously over the past few years and attracts players from all over the surrounding areas. Preference will be given to Brunswick players but each team may carry a limited number of non-residents on their roster.
