T-ball Sunday will be on Saturday 7/21 see the days schedule here.
Mooney
Park is located at 1980 Windsor Drive. For the safety of the players,
the traffic flows one way. All spectators and players must enter from
Windsor Drive and exit at the rear of the field. I have attached a map
indicating the field numbers and the traffic flow.
Upon arrival, coaches will need to check in at the table to get their medals and any any information needed.
I am asking that each coach find a volunteer from their team to
announce their players. Please make sure you have an updated list of
players to be announced.
This is the flow of the day:
1. Coaches and players arrive. Players will go to the field and coaches will
stop at the table for medals and miscellaneous information.
2. Dan Geyer, BYS President, will ask for team announcers to meet by the
concession stand. He will welcome everyone and we will start player
announcements. We will start with field 1 and move to each consecutive
field. Medals should be presented to the player at this time. Also, this is
a good time to get team pictures while the other teams are announced.
3. After all players have been announced and the medals awarded, the
players and coaches will line up on the base lines for the National Anthem.
4. Games will start after the National Anthem and last 1 hour. Please play
the entire hour so the players have a chance to show off at Mooney!
5. For the 3-4 league, if you get in 3 innings before 1 hour is up, feel free to end the game.
Please be extremely careful in the parking lot, see map here for info. There will be little players everywhere and it is easy to be distracted by the parking process.
The
concession stand will be open all day. They have great food for the
best price around, so spectators can eat there and watch their kids
play. Also, for $10 a team, they offer a cold treat for each player. I
will have a list of the items offered that day.
Coaches, After
your game you can take your equipment to the shed and drop it off. It
will be checked in by our equipment managers.
I am excited
for this day as it celebrates our littlest players. They represent the
future of BYS and it is always fun watching them in action.
