Heart In The Game. organization plans its Premiere ECG Heart Screening Event at Springer Middle School on Saturday January 25 from 8am - 4pm.  It will be open to all students from the 3 Middle Schools and the 3 High Schools in the Brandywine School District.

The screenings - both in the Brandywine School District and eventually throughout the state - will be FREE to students.

The mission of HEART IN THE GAME is to create awareness of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) in children and young adults through the formation of community access programs in 1) ECG Screening 2) CPR Training and 3)  AED (Automated External Defibrillator) Training.

Our goal is to screen every middle school and high school student in Delaware....for FREE. Each child should have one screening in both middle and high school. During each event, the New Castle County EMS professionals will train in both Hands Only CPR and use of AED.

The electrocardiogram (ECG) is a simple, painless, NON-INVASIVE  5-minute test that measures and records the electrical activity of the heart.

ECG results will be evaluated by pediatric cardiologists from Nemours.
